Aww...I have no words. Lemme go find some.

Found them! 8U

I'm so glad you enjoyed reading it.
I had a lot of fun writing it and musing about her. It's so hard to find things written about her on fan sites that aren't Treize-centric. Seriously, she's her own person, ok? It was difficult writing her app because her Gundam Wiki entry is so damned Treize-centric. Geez...why so full of suck, fandom? I could ramble on and on about her forever. Just fffffff...she's awesome and she deserves better. Fine, she does love Treize but, demmit, she also openly disagreed with him. My favorite example is in Episode 7 when Treize asks her why she stationed Zechs in Nairobi. She defends her decision and he defers to her. Also in Episode 42, aside from bawwwwww coma scene, after he makes his speech to the World Nation, all he can think of is if she would laugh at him for it. He respected her decisions and didn't merely see her as a tool so it just makes me keyboard smash whenever...argh. I dunno, man. I always saw it as him being more into her than she was into him. Her first appearance in Episode 4 is standing over him in a hot tub and she just keeps a straight face despite his neck craning and whatnot. Also, mentioned twice up there, she turns down his offer of wine in Episode 9. She's also super awkward about being touched by him in Episode 11. Treize touches her only twice in canon: Episode 11 and he rests his hand on her forehead in Episode 42 almost as if to check if she's real. After all, he does hallucinate her putting an arm around his chair in Episode 28 right after he looks at pictures of her. I'm just... *sighs* Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think he touches anyone else in the series. He keeps a distance. Meanwhile, I dunno, she follows his orders. I find it hilarious that she hangs up on him in Episode 22 after he tells her to return to the Lady he was so fond of. No bye. Just hanging up now because you're being really weird, sir. Ugh...sorry for the tl;dr. I can't help but word barf when it comes to her.

Gawd, this is creepy. I should stop.

Also, checked the episode and looked over the suit. Holy shit, you're right! /goes to edit a bajillion things

Damn you, Gundam Wiki. /shakes fist at

I need another rewatch. /sob

Anyway, feel free to friend~ Argh, so happy, too! She's such an awesome character. I will do my best to keep it up. Thank you so much!

Yeah, I know what you mean. Frozen Teardrop spoilers have been depressing me in her case since all we know is she's some aid to Dorothy or some such. Like... WTF? Also, yeah, the Treize-centric-ness gets tiring. Unfortunately he's involved in most of her interactions in the series, if only indirectly.

Now that I'm mulling it over I do think I'd agree that he was romantically interested in her before she was in him (if only because she was being as professional as possible at first and not thinking about him in that way while he was... you know... making her watch him bathe 'n shit). I'm not sure where I'd pinpoint the turning point for her though. I'm pretty sure you're right about Treize never touching anyone besides Lady Une in the series, which I think is telling of his romantic interest toward her even before he says he loves her and hallucinates her in ep 28. Also, the hallucination amuses me because so many people say Une is "schizo" when she doesn't display any of the symptoms of schizophrenia (clang association (rhyming random words, basically), auditory and/or visual hallucinations, delusions of grandeur or delusions that cause you to be paranoid that everyone is out to get you) and Treize actually sort of does. :p

I never noticed that she hangs up on him but now I'll definitely have to rewatch. To be honest I think Noin, Sally, and Quatre might be the only ones polite enough to actually say goodbye before hanging up on people in the series.

Treize kind of drives me nuts with the way he treats Une at first. Like he trusts her and defers to her but at the same time he'll tell her to do something except he won't tell her plainly what he wants AT ALL and lets her make what he deems "mistakes" and it's just like... Oh, Treize, you special snowflake you.

Anyway, yes, further gushing Lady Une love~

Yes, she's presidential aide to Dorothy who has direct command of Preventer now since Wufei, as chief of the Mars branch, seems to defer to Dorothy as president. Still, for all we know, D's a puppet president and Une's pulling the strings. Sumisawa is on crack. /Kanye shrug

As for being schizoid, I say that jestingly. Honestly, I think it's more like she gets overzealous? Like how method actors get in too deep in a role and think they actually are the character they play... Kinda nutty but not exactly a super horrid OMG psycho ward mental affliction. I think the turning point is probably Episode 11 when he takes her hand. She can't even take a compliment and then he honors her with his regard like that despite the immensity of the error she just made. That's brain-breaking stuff.

Watch it. I lol every time. Just STFU Treize. I did all this stupid space diplomacy shit for you and you want me to change? The hell... x3 Though it was a calm hang-up with the screen just going dark.

Treize is Sumisawa's Gary Stu. I don't even- Nothing makes sense. 8| I'm a super stickler. Only seen him played properly twice. Rest of the time he's this vapid slash ship toy who calls everyone "Lady" and I'm just "NO, DEMMIT HE DID NOT CALL EVERY WOMAN LADY." Christ, her name is Lady. In Japanese, her character name is written as レディ・アン which is read as Redii An. No honorific. So I don't see how the hell he would go around just calling anyone Lady... /pet peeve

Aa, good point on Une pulling the strings. Makes way more sense. And yeah, Sumisawa is totally on crack. :p

And oh no no no I didn't mean you with the schizoid stuff. I just meant the people in general who blow Une off as a character and just call her schizo or whatever (I've seen it a lot and from people who obviously aren't fans of the character) and it being funny because Treize is the more likely candidate for that diagnosis.

Glad I've never seen anything where Treize calls others "Lady" 'cause yeah, that would definitely become a pet peeve. Her name is rather unfortunate for an English translation considering the respectful use of "lady" as a title in our language. So it makes sense that people who can't read the katakana don't get it but at the same time even if they don't know that "Lady" isn't just some term of endearment Treize made up for her you would think they could at least come up with something original for Treize to use on other characters. Actually now that I think about it I have seen fic where the author talked about how "Lady" was a name Treize gave her, which is annoying.

/buys him more crack

Haha...yeah, OZ is full of nutters.

If you RP as her, you will see this a lot and it will make you want to tear your hair out. 8| No, dears, she's the only one he calls Lady, ok? Also, I've seen her played by others as simpering and I'm just BIG NO. Treize liked her company because she challenged him. Probably why he didn't like her diplomat self as much. He saw her as capable of succeeding him and able to stand without him even if she didn't think that herself. It's just really annoying.

[also, i know my icons are marked dns but you're free to take if you want as long as you mark them dns too and credit. i just don't want to see them on other rp accounts. lol, selfish. /ninjas]

[i totally stole this icon already because it was too perfect... although it wasn't marked dns but i will definitely keep it in mind for others, thanks so much! :]]

So true about OZ.

And OMFG simpering? SIMPERING?! Yeah, maybe as her diplomat self but COME ON! This is the woman who threw Septum out a plane and then shot him in the head for good measure. ::laughs::

God, are any of the women of GWing simpering? I have to say that's a huge part of the reason I've always loved it -- because it has such strong, badass ladies (even if they don't get to be Gundam pilots... except for I-wear-glasses-sometimes-so-probably-don't-have-perfect-vision-so-am-not-actually-qualified-to-be-a-pilot Lady Une who gets Wing blown apart ;]).

Hahaha...yes, I use that for her [AUDIO] tags. x3

People forget she's awesome. /sob

I lol because she's the only woman in animated GW canon to pilot a Gundam and she crashes it. /insert female driver jokes here
