i gree...i think though that we are conditioned to crave that sort of attention and, as it would seem, achievement. i think it is up to the individual female (or on the flip side, male, to any negative male-gendered behavior) to recognize her actions and then decide if that is really how she wantes to be percieved..unfortunetly..many do not wish to be taken out of the general female (or male) gendered roles, because the way things are set up, that is how you are a member of society.

Well put and very true. Yes, and definitely not to say that men can't be as guilty as women because I know plenty of men who thrive on gossip and other's secrets. And it very well could be something that we just do because its what we've been taught or come accustom to, but how long can that be an excuse? Nobody is perfect, things happen and stuff is said, but there has to got be an age when you recognize what you're doing and just how wrong and immature it is. Everyone, both men and women, should just expect more from themselves.

And in rereading this, it sounds like I have an immaculate and nonexistant gossip record, like I've been above all of it the whole time, which I don't and haven't been. But like you said, while recognition and realization is vital, it really only means something if action is taken.
