It's close enough to the exit to see daylight but far enough away to be safe from the constant stream of water flowing down from the opening into the depths. [Tanpopo shakes its head/body in denial, clutching onto Yayoi's pigtails with stubby legs.] Um... she doesn't have any grass-type moves yet, and she's kind of weak against rock, I think!

[Iori, meanwhile, is having a field day as she hammers with one pincer and spits a steady stream of bubbles from her mouth.]

Auuu... um... Tanpopo! Um, you don't need to get too close, so... try a stunning powder?

[The Hoppip considers this for a moment before hopping off Yayoi's head and timidly floating up above the fracas, scattering a quick Stun Spore- which might end up hitting the Sandshrew that Konata's aiming for.]

[Tanpopo flees to Yayoi's arms, while Yayoi instinctively backs away from the giant rock snake.]

[Iori, however, surges forward and starts frothing madly at the Onix, firing bubble after bubble.]

[The Onix reels back from the assault with a roar, but the tiny Iori keeps on charging, all but parrying the rock-type's annoyed tail swipes with her pincer.]

Hweh? [Yayoi peeks out from behind Konata, her eyes wide.] I-Iori...!!

Um... keep using bubbles!! Scallion, um, please keep those Sandshrews away!

[The Sandshrews start peeling off, too, caught between Kamikaze and Scallion's combined assault. The Onix backs off slowly- and then suddenly unleashes an angry Screech, causing Yayoi to yelp and cover her ears. Iori flinches slightly, but doesn't let up...]

[The Onix gives more ground, rumbling in annoyance at these two tiny THINGS that are somehow giving it so much trouble; after another Slam from Bahamut, it roars and turns to retreat, slithering away as fast as it can.]

We... we did it! Konata, we did it!! [Yayoi jumps in place, cheering happily.]

Ah... [She glances around, forgetting to recall her own Pokemon as she takes in the scene around them.] ... I guess we're going to be cleaning up for a while, huh...?

[Unbeknownst to Yayoi, Scallion is strolling regally behind his trainer.]

[He's picking up some of Konata's unmentionables with his leek. There's even a pair on his head, though it shall forever be a mystery as to whether it got there in the confusion of the battle or if it was on purpose.]
