As if Ayame Isn’t Embarrassingly Enough Normally

Yuki sighed as he tucked his silverfish grey hair back behind his right ear. He was going to kill him, and this time he wasn’t talking about Kyou the cat. Tying his off-white tie, he glanced down at his ensemble and he groaned, his violet eyes flashing despairingly. Blinding white met his eyes as he looked over his tuxedo, thank luck that he wasn’t Best Man at his brother’s wedding. Truly Yuki was confused, wasn’t Ayame’s fashion sense better then this? White always clashed horribly with his pale skin, it made him look ill and gaunt. However, it always made his effeminate face stand out and become fetching. Glancing at the wall clock, he picked up his black dress shoes and slowly walked to the door. Only once checking the male’s dressing room for something out of place. Sighing he couldn’t believe his elder brother was getting married, and least the curse had lifted for him.

Yuki always though that Mime was a reasonable girl with a good head on her shoulders. What would possess the woman to marry his brother? Thinking back, he shook his head, and sighed while cradling his forehead in his hands. Never mind, the pair was well matched, and he felt his arm being squeezed in hello. Looking over at Tohru, he had to blink, what in the world had his brother designed for her?! If that slit and dip wasn’t a inch off from being indecent, he didn’t know what was. He smiled tightly at Tohru before waving her off and storming toward his brother’s room. He could hear his brother and Shigure’s singing a mile off.

Kyou blinked as he fought with his necktie before yanking it off and tossing it away. That thing was a instrument of torture for sure, and Ayame was definitely a master of torture. After all he would have to escort Kagura down the aisle as a bridesmaid. If that didn’t give her ideas after the fact of Ayame’s wedding. Easing the door open, he peered around while slipping out quickly. Then he became a mere shadow against the wall, never mind that his normal orange hair would stand out like a beacon. Red eyes scanned the hallway before he hurried down looking for said snake zodiac Ayame. He had a few things to hammer out with him, including this whole tuxedo thing.

"Kyou-Kun, what are you doing?" A soft voice asked behind him. Not anticipating said voice, he jumped and whirled in mid-air to face his attacker. His eyes fell on Tohru and his eyes widen in surprise, before narrowing in his death stare. Ayame won’t make it through his own wedding after he got through with him. He waved a see you later, and dashed down the hall where he heard terrible, but familiar singing.

He met with Yuki and both tossed the door to Ayame’s room with a mighty force. "What the Hell where you thinking?" They both shouted as Ayame blinked confused at them. Shigure was casually inching out of the room while trying not to be seen by the two heated boys.

"What?" Ayame finally bit out after he got over the joy of actually having his brother come visit him. "Oh, Yuki, you didn’t have to stop by for well wishes." Ayame laughed out.

"No, why am I in this?" Yuki screamed yanking at his collar.

"Well, didn’t you get the message, Tori-san can’t make it until the reception, he has a medical emergency with Akito-san." Ayame informed him while beginning his large arm gestures. "So, you are my Best Man, because Shigure wasn’t willing to, since he has to leave to deal with his publisher in about five minutes." He added with a huge arm sweep.

"Why wasn’t I inform?" Yuki gritted out while straighten his tie.

"Oh, didn’t you get the memo?" Ayame asked, before glancing around and seeing a yellow sticky note still on the desk. "Oh, silly me, I must have forgotten to send it, ho, ho, ho." He laughed out, Yuki didn’t see the humor in it. Meanwhile Kyou was slowly getting ready to blow, as his hands were straining to strangle the snake.

"What about Tohru’s dress?" Kyou bit out, which started Yuki back up.

"What about Tohru’s dress?" Ayame parroted.

"It’s indecent!" Yuki screamed while Kyou yanked in said passing girl while pointing to said dress.

"Ho, ho, ho, imagine that, it must have been a mistake in delivery." Ayame mused while shrugging. "That’s Kagura-san’s dress." He informed them. Both boys looked at the dress with a critical eye, that made more sense because Kagura was still smaller then the others. Both Yuki and Kyou walked out, leaving a confused Tohru who followed immediately after.

"Why didn’t you tell him the truth?" Shigure asked as he slipped out of the closet. "About him being the Best Man?" He added as he stood before the silver-haired man.

"That I wanted him to be Best Man?" Ayame refuted. "You know very well what Yuki is like with me." Ayame reminded.

"So, you lied to him." Shigure sighed out.

"I’m afraid my little brother is gay." Ayame mused out as he combed his fingers through his bangs.

"What?" Shigure intoned.

"I purposely screwed up the delivery of Tohru’s dress." Ayame explained. "Look how he reacted, no nose bleed in sight for either of them!" He added with a toss of his mane.

"Oh." Shigure notched.

"WHAT?" Two voices screamed outside the door before flinging it back open and launching toward Ayame with a vengeance. Forget the fact that Ayame was getting married in as little as twenty minutes.

Twenty minutes later both Yuki and Kyou were dragging a beat up and twitching groom to the alter. With a mean toss, the snake zodiac landed face first beside the alter to the surprise of some of the Souma. Absently they noted that there was no priest behind the alter before sitting down at the first pew. Also, the amount of guests were surprisingly small, in fact it was just the small group that was rode with them.

Ten minutes later, when the bride was suppose to walk down, there was no priest and the amount of guest had not increased. Arisa, Tohru’s Yankee friend, rolled up her sleeves and crossed her arms. "Where’s everybody?" She bit out, a little impatient with the way things were going.

"Ho, ho, ho, I have no idea, today is the twenty-fifth." Ayame informed them. "My grand wedding day." A groan met his statement as Yuki glanced down at his watch.

"It’s the twenty-forth." Yuki stated while standing up with a twitch.

"Ho, ho, I knew that, this was a last minute dress rehearsal." Ayame shouted happily. Yuki and Kyou shared a look before looking to the roof.

"We have to do this again?" They question together quite menacingly.

"Yes." Ayame answered.

"No, we refuse." They both stated, and began walking away.

"You can’t refuse, or I’ll tell everyone about the incident that just happened a little over a hour ago." Ayame chimed. "Rather keep that skeleton in the closet?" He baited.

Yuki and Kyou dropped their shoulders, and nodded balefully. Both they snapped their heads up and looked at each other with a fierce nod.

"Kill him?" They questioned each other.

"Kill him." They chimed together then launch themselves at Ayame with feral laughs. Everyone started laughing, including Ayame, as he gaily ran away from the pursuing duo. Evil laugh spilled from the duo as they inched closer each time.

FIN.
