"You don't have a chance of beating me at this game, Mustang." Edward smirked as he laid his hand flat on the table.
Roy did the same and Ed knew he needed just one more card higher than an eight. As Roy drew his final card, the four of diamonds, his face gave into defeat.
"You've won Fullmetal." Roy leaned back against his chair.
"I beat the Colonel! And at "your" game!" Ed mocked what Roy had said earlier.
Ed continued to boast when his lips were suddenly met by Roy's. Ed was surprised, but also kissed him back.
They stayed like that for a while before Ed had to break the kiss.
"What was that for?" Ed asked while touching his lips with his gloved hands.
"Your proof of victory." Roy picked up all the cards and put them back in their container. "Next time I'll be the one who's victorious."
Edward watched Roy leave, but could tell that tonight he was in for a long night.
