I have to VENT. I just read some reviews for Rebirth, in which some were good, and some were awful. First off, just because Lopez used Rich Harrison, doesn't mean she's trying to be like Beyonce. I bet they didn't say Amerie wants to be like Beyonce, and she used Harrison as well. I guess that means Usher wants to be like Beyonce too since he used the Get Right beat first. Anyway, the point is, these people have a VENDETTA against her. The bad reviews start off bashing her, which shows that they're biased (smart critics) and throughout the whole review they just tell us what we already know - she isn't the best vocalist. No shit. She's not trying to be Whitney Houston, but she at least tries to get better. If you listen to (Can't Believe) This Is Me, I Got U, Step Into My World, and others you will hear she is improving. She even did her own background vocals this time(hooray!).

It's just sad when people have an already set opinion on an artist, and they don't give any new material a chance. They took the title out of concept as well, she didnt mean she was going to make something no one ever heard of. She just wanted a new beginning. People expect too much out of Jennifer Lopez, they want a Whitney Houston range vocal CD out of her everytime. If someone like Nicole Wray made this CD, everyone would be impressed because she improved so much. But since they want Jennifer Lopez to do the Mariah whistle for some reason, they think she sucked or tried too hard. Never pleased people, are you?
