Duke walked only occasionally pulling upon the leash Mr. Doggett held in his hand. He was on point, scoping out the terrain in front of his pack made up of his family. Scents had to be investigated, squirrels and evil bunnies warned off. Mrs. Doggett pushed the stroller with the youngest member inside and was easily distracted, so Duke had to be ever vigilant.
The horse with the cart statue required marking. Looking up at it Duke realized, the author must have snuck in and made him a familiar after all. The stupid horse hadn’t been atop the cart before.
