Juliet couldn’t decide who the bigger fool was; Ben for constantly lying to her to keep her in line, or herself for letting him.

Six months ... Lie!
Portland ... Lie!

Lie. Lie. Lie.

She couldn’t take this anymore. This was far more than she’d agreed on - and, at the same time, everything she’d expected; a lifetime experience, unlimited resources ...
Some things were indeed good. But his lies outranked everything else, and all she wanted was going home; to her old (self-inflicted) misery.
But she knew he’d never let her go. That promise wasn’t a lie at all.
