Before him, everything has worked.
Before him, she's gone by.

Sometimes, it feels so strange for Kate to think about the time before he stepped into her life, taking over first her work and then her heart.
It was so weird to imagine being without him again, and often she wonders what would've happened if she hadn't met him.

She can't tell. But she knows that 'before' is no longer an option for her. She would never be able to go back; to 'before'...
She would do anything to keep Castle in her life. Whatever it takes.
