I spilled the blood of hundreds--a thousand, even--and still I failed her.
What right have I to cherish anyone again?
But I do. I cherish Gojyo, dearly; and fear that one day I'll fail him as well.
He knows. Everything. And trusts me regardless.
He trusts, for the sake of *us*.
Why can I not do the same?

He's had before. Lost before. Somehow feels that past sins mean he can never have again.
But the blood-stained Cho Gonou doesn't exist anymore.
Only Cho Hakkai, hesitantly reaching for my outstretched hand.
