Snow and Ember
It was a known fact that the First Princess ate like a bird.
Even the most delectable of foods she would barely touch.
Of course, she had her reasons.
While wandering the various villas, Snow happened across something sweet smelling, it enticed her to look into the window.
Pie.
“Hi! Snow!” called a voice.
Beautiful, blond, bubbly, and slightly pregnant, the Second Princess surprised everyone when she was brought home.. She prided herself on being able to complete tasks the other ladies wouldn’t dare do. She was so unlike the girl they thought would fit the shoe.
“Hello, Ember,” she responded.
“Do you want something to eat, Snow?”
The smell of it!
There was no magic in this food. Not a drop of poison either.
“Yes.”
Ember pulled out a chair for her. “Sit, sit!”
On top of that, it tasted delicious.
Her look of surprise made Ember smile.
“Say Snow, my Sis always has tea-time with her husband every day; maybe you and I could do something like that? I’d be glad to make you snacks if you enjoy my cooking. You eat so little.”
“I trust you won’t try to poison me; you’re a surprisingly good cook.”
“I cooked for seven people years before we came to live here. Thank goodness, I was worried you hated me.”
“You’ve done nothing to deserve my hate; it was Reginald who chose you. It’s not uncommon for a man to have more than one wife in our kingdom.”
“Still….”
“I like you, which is more than I can say about a lot of the other princesses here. I will gladly accept your offer.”
Home. This place she had built for herself felt like a real home.
From that day forward, the First and Second Princesses became friends.
