Всегда хотелось тулзу с которой можно было бы быстренько потыкать порты ввода/вывода под UNIXом, в особенности LPT порт. Обычно я пишу отдельную Си программку которая делает что мне нужно... Но это не удобно и медленно. Хотелось чего-то скрипто-подобного. Сначала подумал замутить как pcspkr_play, типа маленькая Си прога, типа читает с stdin команды ( Read more... )

I think I found the answer to my question, about whether it was my laptop BIOS' fault or OpenBSD kernel's fault, that the CardBus bridge (~= the slot where you insert PCMCIA cards in your laptop) wasn't being assigned a correct parent bus, bus and subordinate bus numbers. It appears that they both are guilty.

For half of this semester we had a course called 'Microprocessors and embedded systems'. To date -- this was the most interesting course we had, such a pity that it's so short.

I received my credit card this week. Actually, I didn't really want to have more than one physical card, but as I found out, Virtual Credit Card that Parex Bank offers costs money. Not much, but nevertheless. The physical one is free, with no monthly fee. It seems almost as if banks want you to have as much cards as possible. Can' ( Read more... )

Сегодня наконец-то сообщили: у нас на потоке будет две группы, программисты и системные аналитики. Я без колебаний записался в программисты. Йа буду праграммистичегам!
