I just experienced my third earthquake since taking up residence on MDI. This time the entire house shook and there such a noise that we all ran out of our rooms wondering what the hell had possibly happened. Did some stumble head first down the stairs? Did we drop a large dresser from the top floor? Nope it’s just another earthquake. This might mean that the entire island is sinking or something crazy who knows. Anderson just emailed everyone saying it was recorded as a 4.2.

In other news I had my first SCUBA class tonight. We did the swim and treading water test, and listened to Ed’s diving stories of encounters with sharks in Maine and gray seals that grab your flippers and tow you away. It was a good time and if all goes according to plan we are going to fly through the material so we can be out in the open ocean diving before the end of the semester, haha that’s in like 6 weeks, craziness.

Trey and I cooked delicious food for our house dinner on Sunday. We had the most incredible truffle chocolate greatness ever! It was a good time.

I went to Bangor this weekend a bunch of COAers for an anti-war rally. It was an awesome turn it, and who did I see there- Britta and Alex. Yup at a rally in Maine I meet up with two of my dear Uxbridge friends, what are the odds? It was a great day though; a bunch of us stayed and just enjoyed the amazing weather dancing down by the waterfront.

Friday night we had an open mic which was incredible and then Dan played an all night marathon of all the songs we could think of on his guitar and piano. It was essentially a large sing along of Beatles, Queen and Simon and Garfunkel- pure amazingness. There was also some sardines fun for a little in between which was nice.

Mmm that is all I feel inclined to write for now; I have sea kayaking tomorrow morning with marine bio :-)
