So long since I logged in here again - somehow time goes so fast when you have nothing much to do. Nothing much - visited loads of christmas markets, had another load of visitng relatives, took relatives to loads of christmas markets. I have done good research into gluhwein at the markets, there is a great varience to be had, favourite so far is in front of the Rotes Rathaus, but Charlottenburg also scores very highly.
Its still incredibly grey here, not cold, just damp, grey. Not inspiring weather. We have been to the zoo on Kudamm a few times, ended up buying a season ticket so we just wander in whenever we feel like it now. Its pleasent even on grey days. Last week we saw the new born baby hippo, I never thought hippos could be so cute!

http://www.jwoodhouse.com/nature/animals/an119.htm A little moan - I've always been a little pissed off at the inconvenience of selling photographic prints. Compared to sales to publishers who just want an image emailing then they send me electronic money, messing around with printing and physically posting is just hassle. That sounds kinda lazy! Maybe - but the hassle of dealing with Deutsche Post / DHL these past few weeks has made me re-think selling prints at all. Last week I posted an A3 print, rolled up in a cardboard tube to England. It weighed very little, but cost 14.50 euro. Same from England to Germany would have been £1.50. Every time I go to the post office here, I keep having to let out bigger exclamations at the charge. In England I always thought Rammstein shop were taking the piss with their postage charges, but now I realise its not all their fault, if you send anything from here that is not flat and basically a small envelope, you get screwed heavily on postage charges. So, I'm looking for solutions around this and getting someone else to handle the printing and mailing altogether. Think I have found the solution and am just setting up a sub website

Good moments in December:
Megaherz concert was incredibly brilliant. I never got into their albums totally, but they are just amazing live. Great to meet up with Julie J and Nebel there too.
Met up with someone who lived about 8 miles from me in England and moved to Berlin earlier this year. Really nice guy with German wife, will meet up again for chat, photography and maybe curry.
Still trying to find a good curry house that can do curry with some spice but found a reasonably good one, all veggie - met 6 other veggies for pleasent evening, too much food and beer. Returning on new years eve before trying to get within a mile of Brandenburg Gate.
Beautiful gift from Hersephoria, thankyou!
Gluhwein, lebkuchen and stollen - good thing christmas in only every december.
Looking forward to Corvus Corax tomorrow and then Die Zauberflöte on xmas day.
