Last night in Europe.

I felt the need to post once more while I can still put Bordeaux as my "current location." So a post in list form:

  1. After weighing my suitcases (I'm hoping the scale is correct because the big suitcase came in at 22 kilo, or ~48.5 pounds after I did the conversion online, and I hate the thought of paying a fee), I weighed myself and... oy. Alright, I didn't gain that much, less than 5 pounds, but even so. Ouch.

  2. I don't think I've said this enough, but I adore my host family so freakin' much. They were seriously the best part of my stay in Bordeaux. The two of them are just about the most awesome people in the world.

  3. Current read: Marisha Pessl's Special Topics in Calamity Physics. I picked it up in Munich at the airport (at a ridiculous price, but I was desperate after considering the 3 hour layover) because I remembered someone had recommended it to me (That person had also recommended Margaret Atwood's The Blind Assassin and I adored that book, so score on both counts). I'm about half done now and I'm hoping it lasts at least 4 hours or so on the airplane. I'm also making sure the laptop is fully charged and have a DVD in my carry-on bag, so there's another 2 hours of entertainment. And my iPod is fully charged. And my journal. And I'm not sleeping tonight so hopefully I'll be exhausted enough to sleep a bit. I think I'm set to be well occupied on the flight.

  4. My Bordeaux photo safari wasn't as successful as I'd hoped, but at least I did get some photos anyway. The pictures don't do the city justice, and I wish they came out better. All the more reason to come back, right?

  5. My room is empty and it's so sad. Oh Bordeaux. ♥

See you all state-side, then.
