the monster anatomy
Ok, so the part right before the group of friends dives into the subway tunnels and we get the camera moving back and forth between the tanks/military and the friends across the street and the big monster almost right on top of them... or maybe it was when they were in the store watching the news report cameras... dang, part of the film are starting to blur together already... anyways, during one of these parts did any one else see a giant sphincter? I thought maybe it was on the monster's stomach (belly button?) and that's where the parasites were being born but no, they were falling all around from it, not one location. Anyone know of this sphincter-like body part that I swear I saw at least for a second or two? Please tell me I'm not alone, lol.
Does anyone have an actual sense of what this monster looks like head to toe? We do get plenty of good shots of it, but those shots are always just parts (head here, back there, tail-thing? there, arm there, etc.) which is realistic. But I can't piece all these parts together. I've looked up fan art of it but those don't satisfy me. I cannot wait for the dvd already. I want to take my own screen caps, THEN I'll be satisfied that I know how these body parts go together. LOL
I'm just fascinated with the monster designs. :) So detailed, yet we see only glimpses. ALMOST seems a waste of those animators/designers time since we don't really get to see the magnificent thing they created.
