I find myself having ups and downs of energy these last few days. Essentially, I will find myself very tired, even sleepy... and then I eat something and within seconds my energy jumps back up again, and I am fine for several more hours. I am guessing that my body is struggling to maintain my blood sugar levels. Is this a result of quitting ( Read more... )

I really like herbal tea to cut sugar cravings -- but also Kombucha is an amazing beverage that gives energy and antioxidants, etc. Have you ever had some? It can work well in giving one a needed boost.

Also, how is your general water intake and what supplements (if any) are you taking?

Everyone is recommending Kombucha, I will have to look for that.

I take my thyroid medicine every day, and when I remember, I also take salmon oil, multivitamins, a B supplement, and 1000mg of D a day. I seldom remember all those things, though. I am not good at taking pills so I try to get my vitamins from food.

I am drinking a good amount of water, maybe not enough. When I am at home I keep a glass of lemon water near all times. When not at home I should be carrying my water bottle but I have been slack this week.
