Orphan Black's greatness rests pretty squarely on Tatiana Maslany's shoulders. I recall an episode about halfway through where the character of Alison doesn't appear, and for half a second I presumed it was because the actress who played Alison needed the week off before I realized how ridiculous that thought was.

I believe there are vague plans for a Black Widow movie. It isn't officially on the slate yet, but they have plans for the next few years that they haven't announced.

I've read the statements that a Black Widow is maybe sorta being considered, and I think the explicit push for it in the Winter Soldier reviews increases the likelihood that it will happen. But it's not going to happen before Avengers 2, which means that the set up at the end of the movie is going to either be ignored or pay off in Avengers 2 rather than in a Black Widow solo. That's what I'm grumpy about.

I am really happy with how the Winter Soldier developed Captain America and Black Widow and introduced the Falcon, though. Black Widow really was the perfect character for the movie's story, and I'm wondering if this is the first summer blockbuster with the female and male lead not falling into romance at all.
