Hey! You like books don't you? Of course you do, you're friends of mine. So it stands to reason that you also like bookshops, right? And if you like bookshops, you're usually quite fond of the people who work in them, especially if they're working at a locally-owned independent bookshop, even more so if it sells wine too ( Read more... )

Done. Then had guilt attack about it being so much easier to donate if you've got a story and a face to give to.

Aw thank you! I love all of my friends at the bookshop, and since they only charged me for one of two coffees today, all my money went into the tip jar for Jon and Amelia.

Maybe your guilt attack will lead to a comparable donation to some other thingy, who knows? The world is a crazy place.

Thank you!

Also, have been meaning to mention: Pickle's Playroom guys mentioned awhile ago that they were interested in having people who could produce/run musical lessons/play sessions. I wrote down your name and told them to google you, since I don't have your personal info memorized. If they haven't contacted you, I'd suggest stopping by as it was probably due to not being able to find you. I don't know what their current status is on that thing, but it couldn't hurt to check it out if you're interested. Be sure to tell them that the cashier from Gene's was the one who sent you there and had mentioned you previously as being the PERFECT PERSON for just such a thing.

I will get your red eye there tomorrow, unless Cyn beats me to it. Which is highly likely, I might head downtown mid-day so who knows. But if you've already got one, dammit I'll drink it myself. And tip.

Black eye, two shots, with a little milk to take the edge off.

If I had $1,000 to give, I'd have put it in the tip jar.
