Scanning the menu, she dimples at the librarian. "Thank you for coming, a chara. I think I shall give the whitefish a try, and do you know what soups they've got today?"
Truth to tell, her appetite has been in minor overdrive ever since she helped to heal Pippa. She has an energy debt to make up.

"Heya Sammy, vos is neias? How's your mom?" she asks the young man with a grin, who smiles in return.
"She's doing okay, Miss Levine, I'll tell her you said hi. You ladies know what you want?"
"You betcha," Zippy answers, handing over her menu. "Iced tea and the lox and cream cheese sandwich for me, hon. And I think my friend wants to know about the soups?"
Sammy nods, and rattles off the day's choices for Cait.

As Sammy heads back with their orders, she gives Zippy another wry smile. "Been a very long month."

Anyway the key is not too look too eager. Just here as a friend to listen to a friend's woes and all that.
"Nu? Nobody sick or anything, I hope? Health is everything."
As far as Zippy can recall, Cait has never mentioned anybody in her family ever being under the weather.
