Characters: Otacon and the Holograms Dr. Emmerich and his students. What: Robotics class YES! Where: A... classroom. When: Monday, February 16th, 7:10 AM. Rating: Should be pretty tame.
Random was in one of the back seats, listening to Hal's words silently. He was lucky in the sense he was going to get the lectures without having to do the homework (score).
Moreover, he was curious to just how much knowledge the doctor had when it came to robotics. This would be a perfect opportunity for him to find out.
Zero didn't quite technically fall under the classification of "robot". He was an android with complete sentience and free will, commonly referred to as a Reploid. If you wanted to get technical, he didn't fall under that classification either, as under its strictest definition, a Reploid's design was mainly derived from X's, but it was the term they used nonetheless, being more convenient than spouting off a long-winded explanation like this one every time someone called him something inaccurate.
Nonetheless, he was rather robot-like, and while his knowledge of his inner workings was extensive, more knowledge about robots in general could never hurt, seeing as he fought them nearly every day back home. While he wasn't impressed by the teacher's lateness or his rather unorthodox method of erasing the board, he still replied respectfully to Otacon's question, "Nothing in particular. Whatever you have to teach, I'll learn."
All Felicia knew about robots was what she learned while fighting Huitzil robots a while back. She was just looking to fill out her schedule, really. "Well, I'm not really sure what I'm looking to do," she said sheepishly.
"Well," she said, thinking, "the last robots I saw were built by an alien invader who wanted to eat the earth centuries ago, but were found by Mayans and turned into guardians, and then awakened to destroy the world. Does that count?" she asked.
Of course X had an interest in robots; his creator had been one of the greatest roboticists his world had ever known, and X himself had been the template for a whole new generation of sentient machines. It was more than just that, though. It was a bit of a long shot, especially at a place as technologically backward as Zenithia, but maybe some of the material they covered here would be advanced enough that it might shed a little light on the Maverick problem.
"I... didn't think we'd be building our very own robots." A pause. Although not as common as humans, a few reploids had taken up robotics. X had never dabbled in that sort of stuff before, and even if some regarded him as the father of all reploids, this was definitely different. "Does this mean we're going to be parents?"

He responded only with a quiet nod.
