Ack. Waiting for the vet to call and tell me what is wrong with my cat. I'm so anxious, and antsy, that I'm having trouble getting anything done.  I just want my kitty to be okay.

To any one who is forced to listen to my music through the open window- I'm sorry that I've been listening to the same song two or three times a day.  But I've got some overwhelming work possiblities, and Dolly Parton singing 9 to 5 is the thing that cheers me up.

I think I am in love with this skirt. I may need to own it. Well, technically what I really need to own is some sort of denim pencil skirt, but this skirt is so cute! With the bright green! And having a motif featuring both skull-and-crossbones and whales! It's like what Captain Ahab would wear if he were a preppy girl.

Alright, seriously, this is getting ridiculous. So, earlier this week there was the people gunned down, one dead, in front of our old apartment. Then tonight we were going to the grand opening of the Panorama. Except we never got out of the car, because on the same block as the Panorama, at the other end, was a dead body. We went back to the old house last night to get some stuff, and discovered that a 14 year old had been shot in front of our old house Wednesday night. Apparently he fired into a crowd of people in some gang related thing, hitting two people. When the police responded, he turned the gun on them and they shot him.

We got our apartment in Pasadena! It's so awesome! Two bed, two bath, big kitchen, working fireplace, two patios, washer/drier in unit, dishwasher. It's right by Caltech, and walking distance from the Huntington Gardens. I'm so excited! I'm finally going to have an in-home studio space. And I will be out of this crappy ass neighborhood! Yay!

I hate the kids in this neighborhood! Hate them! Or maybe I hate their parents. Whoever thinks it's okay for them to constantly be setting off firecrackers. This goes on all the time.
