I would be much more excited about your season 7 than I am about the one that's playing out now. I'm finding myself getting a little bored with the show. *sigh* More Crowley would be a welcome thing, too.

As S7 is going now, it needs to change the status quo in some major way to make me care again. Which it probably won't. :< As it stands, there's always old episodes and fic to get into.

As for this premise, why not include Crowley, as the boys run up against the deadline and have to make deals with the devil to save innocent lives. :D?

That sounds more interesting than what I've heard of S7 (I haven't watched it).

And yes. So would I, but I was trying to stick to the trend of the show in denying us more Gabriel / Adam / etc. I think he could be fit in somewhere, though!

I like your idea. One of the things I love most about SPN are the cliff hangers, and except in the case of the humorous episodes I think the series really suffers when it slows down. The constant calls would keep things going at a nice clip

I haven't seen much of S7, but I'm just...what I hear about it isn't exactly pulling me to want to see it. I'm hoping the rest of the season will pull some serious changes that interest me, but well..we'll see. Fingers crossed?

That actually sounds like a great idea. Really going back, full circle to what the show used to be. I really need to catch up on the show. I've missed... several seasons. >.>

I always thought it would be interesting to see what the show would be like if they hadn't been brothers, but best friends who maybe had fathers/parents who were hunters.

I'd recommend seasons four and five, but I should warn that I'm biased.

Hmm...but then we'd lose a major component of the show - the themes of family. And the angel thing would need to be handled differently, as we'd lose that fascinating mirror of family politics too. The change could work, but it'd be something different.
