Ah, Raphael! The truth is far too much fun! XD
Gabriel stuffing Raphael's mouth with Hershey's!
I love this AU of Satan!Raphael, Warrior!Lucifer, Healer!Gabriel and Messenger!Michael. THIS MUST COME TO PASS.
Lucifer's insight into Raphael is fantastic. I love this confrontation about Raphael's nature, because it's true? We haven't seen a single suggestion of Raphael's original purpose on-screen. His eventual crisis when he realises Michael isn't going to help him was crushing and perfect.
(There are no more outbursts of violence. Not when Gabriel works to prevent his family from fighting with anything other than words with the worst sort of desperation.)
Oh, Gabriel. ;_; I love this ending, I love the resignation and realistic depression that's tentatively paving the way for acceptance and how it ends with their rediscovery of each other as brothers, not simply agents of fate.
Also, Lucifer draping himself over everyone is <3 ( ... )

That would've been so different and yet the same, I say. They're good at playing their roles, but I'm not sure exactly which combination would make it less painful for them. (Seeing as Satan!archangel has to happen)
Third: It was jarring I must say to see Raphael's episodes and discover that the biggest thing about him that I recall lore-wise was missing. I know that SPN tosses a lot of lore out the window but the Healer thing...yeah. I had to deal with that.
Fourth: Again, I'm glad the ending worked for you! :D

You write the angels so brilliantly, and you even made me feel pity for Raphael a littlebit, which is rare because I really hated that guy in canon ;)

Thank you, I'm glad you liked it! (Raphael is/was easy to hate in canon, but it's way easy to pity him - exactly what would drive an angel to declare that God is dead? And not just any angel - I could understand Lucifer or one of the Fallen - but Raphael, who never lost favor (lore-wise at least) with Heaven?)

Even if it's necessary to look them together in a small room. I kinda liked how the development went.
*cheers for more*
