Sherry looks pretty sanguine about the whole experience, I must say. If she gives birth, how likely is it that the cria will have a spot like hers, or is it totally random genetically?

It's pretty random, but probably more likely than it would be if she was spotless! (This was part of the deciding factor in going with the slightly less expensive local male.)

Alpaca p0rn! OMG!

Also, how are you going with House? If you have the last 3 episodes of S3, could I grab a copy? Also, if you need S4 and S5, let me know.

I have Season 3 on DVD, but am still working through the last two discs. I should be done by the Christmas gathering and will bring it to you then!

I think I'll be acquiring S4 soon. I've seen all of S5 so far and have a Source. If the new episodes didn't sound like keepers, I'd been watching them on TV since until last week Channel 10 was showing them just one day behind the US, but last week they inexplicably showed the second part of a two-part S2 episode. My brain cannot fathom this. However I went back to my Source and am fully up to date!

Possibly it's not in very good taste to post photos of one's firstborn losing their virginity on the internet.

Easy examples of obvious subtext: Holmes and Watson - Jim Ellison and Blair Sandburg - Xena and Gabrielle.

Your firstborn is adorable, and looked bemused while Fings Were Going On.

Xena is a good idea - that one's less embarrassing because it's Not My Fandom!

Some of them even eat while Fings Are Going On.

Don't we all? ;-P

Sorry. Couldn't help it. *g*

Also. Interview with a Vampire? Lestat and Doodah, I forget his name now. Brad Pitt. I am a bad, inconstant goth. Although that one's a bit like being hit with a bat, I guess.

I haven't seen Interview with a Vampire. Maybe I need to do a crash course of familiarisation with Non-Embarrassing Fandoms. Or better still, just get over my hang-ups about obsessing over fictional characters!

I'm disappointed that Hallmark doesn't make a card to send to you for the occasion of firstborn cria being mated for the first time! Congratulations to all concerned :-)

Least embarrassing examples of subtext? A bit has been written about subtext in 'buddy' movies, going by a quick google, so that might be something to add to the other excellent suggestions?

I'm imagining a jumbo stationery store with cards for all occasions, with the alpaca mating cards somewhere in aisle W!

Thanks for the research suggestion. I don't really want to launch straight into my personal fandoms. They're too close to my heart to show to someone who might laugh at them! I'd rather test the waters with neutral material.
