SPN S7 finale, upcoming House series finale

May 20, 2012 10:21

I learned this morning that a Sam and Dean moment from the promo was cut from the aired episode, and have now gone from thinking the finale was a bit emotionally flat to being actively disappointed. Even those three seconds would have made things a lot better for me ( Read more... )

That Sam&Dean exchange would have been brilliant. Can't believe they left it out. Could have easily snipped a few seconds of Dick/other levi's or Polly to fit in such a beautiful bro moment ( ... )

You're right about those Sam scenes. I'm also relieved to read that the Hell trauma storyline isn't finished with and I'm excited about the possibilities for S8. I'm just struggling to come to grips with the fact that a FILMED Sam & Dean scene, which would have added some of the emotion I watch for, got cut! Never written in the first place would be bad enough, but written and filmed and included in the promo and THEN cut is hard to take!

Ita about SPN. Thought the ep was boring, although I like where the end left us.

I'm trying to focus on the possibilities of the ending, but I'd be MUCH happier with just a little more Sam & Dean emotion in the finale - such as the three seconds from that promo!

I am SO deeply invested in House's home stretch to the finale. I never stopped watching or liking it or caring, in all these years, but this final arc is holding my fannish heart in its hands. I'm so very grateful that they've done such a gorgeous, worthy job with it. ♥show♥

I'm so happy to hear that other House watchers feel the same way! If only, if only they can keep it up for one more episode.

LOL, you should totally do that throughout the "House" fandom!

Or just be a bit sneakier about this - "Loved this vid and I know it's old but with what's happening on the show lately I have fallen head over heels back into House fandom...." ;)

I did post a few feedback comments where I referred to the glory that is current canon, but none of the responses I got engaged with that part of what I said. I can't understand what any former House fan could be doing that's more rewarding than watching this arc, and it distresses me greatly to think that someone out there might not know about it! For the first time, I might understand the missionary mindset: "If I can just reach one person..."

What?! They cut at what could have been THE bro moment of the episode! *FAIL*!!!!

That.

damn.

That worries me. Maybe they don't know what it is we like and want from this show. :(((

It was such a nice moment, and it harked back so well to Sam saying to Dean "Don't get killed" at the end of The Slice Girls. I'd be very interested to know who decided to cut it and why. A little brotherly concern before the fight would have heightened the impact of the separation.
