Anne of Green Gables Comparisons

When you read Anne of Green Gables, you read a story told from the perspective of a young girl. According to my amateur diagnosis, she's a gifted young girl with (by Dabrowski's theory) emotional overexcitability. The response to this has been a long time coming, because peace has been a long time coming. In truth, it's not really here yet, but I'm working on a post that will explain.

This post inspired me to read Anne of Green Gables with Amber. (Grandma gave it to her recently.) I think it must have been a condensed version, because I don't remember that quote from Marilla. Amber wants the rest of the series for Christmas.
