gah!

I was very glad to get up this morning and see that they caught the rapist who attacked and abducted a woman 4 blocks from my house the other night.

I was less glad when I noticed that I left my front door not just unlocked, but actually slightly open.

Gah.

stupid human tricks, real life

Yikes! I'm glad they caught him! And I hate it when I forget things like that.

I know! I'm usually pretty good about stuff like that; I tend to lock the door right behind me. But last night I was in and out of the both front and back doors between barbecuing and gardening; I must have gone out one door and just not noticed the other.

Gah!

I know! I'm not actually sure which one worries me more. Probably the Bad Guy, but I'd like to think I have better sense!

Fortunately no ill effects from leaving the door open that I've seen...

Yipes! Don't do that again, there are far too many crazy people out there.

Yikes for sure! My immediate area is fine, but I'm only a few blocks from one of the more dangerous parts of the city. My folks weren't thrilled when I told them were I was going to live when I moved to Seattle.

But locking-- and closing! the doors is probably a good start!

Eep!

But I take great comfort that you are fiercely protected via your rapier wit. Guys like that would probably show up and feel so stupid in 15 seconds that they'd just turn around and leave, heads hung in shame.

(why yes, I've had some wine tonight....)

The combination of rapier wit, scary hair, and my Star Wars jammies might just terrify the bad guys. It scared of the jehovah's witness pretty well!

I just got home and poured myself a glass of wine. I probably should just make some herbal tea, but that sounded like way too much work!

Awesome! And you could finish 'em off with a real flourish: "Your Mother was a Hamster and Your Father Smelt of Elderberries!"

I occasionally have epic struggles with a cork, but that probably doesn't count as 'work' compared to boiling water. :P

The wine was already opened from last night, so much less work than filling the kettle, turning the stove on, and finding tea. I really need to get some more good herbal stuff; I'm down to the "other" stuff that comes in mixed selections.

Yikes - I'm very glad they caught the attacker, and that no-one got in through your open door. I walked Ellen to the bus stop this morning and got back to find that although I'd put the key in the lock to lock the door, I hadn't turned it and had left it in the door. So you're not the only absent minded one around!

LOL! I guess it isn't just me; I find that oddly reassuring!

Several years ago I couldn't find my keys. I was running late of course; they turned up in my front door. On the outside! I was tired when I got home and had my hands full... The only time I did that, and probably should share it. Makes sound even goofier than I actually am... I really don't need help with that!
