I was thinking that too, but it really just seems too stupid to even be satire. I think it's a case of a little bit of information being dangerous.

now, i hate DST like the plague it is, but OMG the libruls? seriously? (especially since this idiotic legislature was passed last year, before the omg libruls took over.)

But don't you see? If the Republicrats had did done it, they'd've made DST happen a month *later* to help stop the global warming caused by the Demublicans outgassing. Plus we should all use nucyular clocks so to reduce our dependence upon foreign oil.

Oh man, I'm really tempted now to give this text to my astronomy class and see what they make of it. I'm afraid some of them won't get it.

BTW, your icon just reminded me, I had students write reviews of the science in popular movies, and Finding Nemo was a favorite. Despite my hints though, a few of them missed the mistakes in clownfish reproduction. :-P
