Heh. I can't say I'm sorry to seduce you back to Forward Momentum for that reason ... and don't forget there's a wee sprinkling of dress geekery in some of the tailpieces also, Estelle being a witness at Taura's and Roic's wedding.

In theory I have, somewhere, a historical dictionary of costume that I was going to recommend, but can I find it? Rootling about in the attic did however net me Motley's Designing and Making Stage Costumes (London: Studio Vista, 1964), which has much of interest. (Motley, btw, being the business-name of a major theatrical design team of the mid-C20, in London from c. 1931, comprising Elizabeth Montgomery, Sophie Devine, & Margaret Harris. The book has 'Motley' as the author on cover and title-page, but if you're looking in libraries &c. it's possible the real names would be used, even though they only appear in the copyright notice.)

Hope all's well with you.

Hey, I was going to say how much I loved Forward momentum but just couldn't say so at the time I read it (a few months ago) since I didn't have an account then and you switched on the no-anonymous-comments option and here you are commenting on Zahri's post.
I also wanted to say hello again to Zahri now that I have my own account and I don't need to ask Philomytha for help in posting stories :).
Zahri, I'm going to add you as a friend if that's alright with you.
That was really efficient of me - writing to you both in the same comment but bracketyjack, I promise to write you a long comment (where???) telling you in detail how much I loved Forward Momentum and the tailpieces :).
