ETA: Authors, please don't worry, your anonymity has not been compromised. Your recipients just recieved the same notification email (containing title, fandom and summary) that they would have when yuletide went live a little earlier.
Hey, around 50 of you will probably have recieved emails telling you about the story you have recieved for yuletide, because that story was cross-posted to
dark_agenda's
Chromatic Yuletide 2010 collection.
WE'RE SO SO SO SORRY!!!!
I had checked in with the yuletide mods to make sure that we could unselect the 'this collection is currently unrevealed' box beforehand so that when the yuletide stories went live, those cross-posted to the chromatic_yuletide_2010 collection would also go live.
However, none of us realised though that when we did that, the system would send out emails to all the recipients of the stories.
::facepalm::
We've restored the settings, so anyone uploading further stories or treats to both collections will not be revealed to their recipients, and we'll make sure we touch base with elyn and shalott to get the reveal synchronious, so please please don't worry if you are considering writing for our challenge. (Which - please do!
There are almost 700 prompts to choose from!)
Again, for those 50 people whose yuletide squee suffered from premature notification, MASSIVE APOLOGIES!!
ETA: An excellent point has been brought up amidst the shamed hand-wringing that I assure you I am doing - perhaps some people will see this post and realise that their story fits the requirements needed to cross-post it. So I come to tell you about that one solitary requirement -
If your story features a chromatic (Person of Colour, Non-White, etc.) character as the lead or co-lead of your story, it meets the requirements of the
Chromatic Yuletide 2010 collection.
There are only 50 stories in our collection right now, and I really really hope there are more than 50 stories focussing on chromatic character to read (when yuletide actually goes live), so please consider adding yours to the collection.
