Thanks for letting us know in advance about Safari! Because I'm sure I would have thought it was Just Me and been very confused. O.o

The link at the bottom of the "see requested fandoms" page that is supposed to go to the sign-up page points here:

http://www.yuletidetreasure.org/signup.cgi

but that doesn't work. Possibly it needs to point here instead?

The archive is suppose to be down until Christmas, right? Because you can still access the search engine and quick search links if you pull up a fic already archived.

I believe it goes offline when assignments go out, to eliminate the risk of someone quicksearching something submitted for the current yuletide. So, not quite yet. But I could be wrong.

*nods* That's my understanding as well, but it's already saying it's offline on the main page. It's just on the stories I was able to get access to them. Figured I might as well point it out now before the assignments are handed out ^^

Er, so I signed up maybe 45 minutes ago? and have no email yet. Is it taking a while? But I see that things I requested/offered seemto have incremented/changed on the red and greens list and all.

(in case this is because I messed up my email? How would I know? User = Flora; email should be florahart at gmail)

No worries if it takes you a bit to get around to looking. :D

Oh whew, there it is, just now appearing in my inbox at 12:00 exactly, cheerfully timestamped 9:36.

Slow ether today, I guess. :D So, nevermind.

Also? Over 650 fandoms requested (at a rough count) among 285 participants so far? AWEsome.

Yes, that sounds right. You can specify up to four characters you're willing to right, per selection of fandom -- although you can specify the same fandom multiple times. If you select 3-4 in one choice, then someone else who has the same characters you offered could be matched to you, be it one, two, three, or all four characters you specify. The computer script matches purely based on whether what you offer matches (or overmatches) what someone requests, ie, they could only specify two of the four you named, and that would be considered a match.

Note: someone requesting multiple characters doesn't necessarily mean that they're going to want them as pairings of some sort. And recipient details of that sort aren't binding; however, if you offer multiple characters, and someone requests those same characters or some of them, then you are required to involve all the requested characters within the story at some point.
