Maybe it takes them that long to generate and store enough power. Matter transference is energy-intensive. We only do it on the subatomic scale at home.

Long time not talk Lika. You know, I was just noticing that too; every week or so ...

I wonder if there is anything we can line your room with to block out the feelings you pick up from others. I mean, certain metals block some magics on my world ...

If it ever gets really bad, I can sooth you with a song. It might at least numb you to the worst of it.

There's no way to block telepathy, that I know of. Just distance, to attenuate the emotions.

I still need to figure out if my magic works over the communicator, or if it can be recorded. If so, I could record you something to help drown out the thoughts at least.
