Totally agree re: Christmas Who. There was a lot of good stuff in there, and I enjoyed the episode. It was highly giggle-worthy, with a few more poignant moments. But although the characters managed to carry it, the plot was a classic example of RTD getting carried away and going over the top with stupid little gags, overblown effects and messianic Doctor moments that detract rather than add to the overall effect.

RTD should have just relaxed rather than going completely overboard with the story. I just hope he learns from his dreadful mistake this time and makes no more dreadful episodes like this one again. I hope, I'm doubtful as to whether it will actually happen though.

In that scene when Ryan is driving Lindsey to Caleb's mansion - did you notice something on the windscreen on Ryan's car when he's recalling how he first met Marissa? Watch it!
