I like the one(firefly episode) where the obnoxious mercenary gets kicked into the engine.

The one where Jayne is a hero is pretty good too.

Be well.

There isn't a bad episode in the lot :).

As yolen said, I don't know of a bad episode, but that moment was truly inspired. I love how Firefly boldly walked into all the standard formulaic situations, and then abruptly turned them inside out. Some be-tattooed lunatic, who is at your mercy, threatens to chase you for the rest of your life and bury a knife in your chest? Anywhere else, there would be ominous music, and for some unfathomable reason the captain would put the fellow down where the local authorities could find him (and put him in prison, from where he'd escape roundabout the middle of the third season). Mal Reynolds? Nooooo, thanks very kindly for the suggestion, but I think I'll deal with this threat right now, while the odds are in my favor.

Yes, Mal did the sensible thing, unlike tv captains of yore :). Simple, but effective. Of course, like fings mentioned over the weekend, you ahve to wonder if flunkie #2 actually went and returned the money to Niska, not wanting to be the bearer of bad news to such a whackjob.

My in-laws are very nice people...

I think I've been in their presence maybe, I dunno, four or five times, and yet every time they've treated me like I was one of fings' childhood friends, who they've known since I was five. The very first time I met them, when they were dropping something off for fings at the office, they invited me to lunch with the three of them because I happened to be standing around talking to fings when they arrived. Heck, they bought me lunch.

So yeah, as you say -- very nice people.

You do not suck. (I see that tag, young lady!)

Take care of your ankle. Sounds like you have actually been very productive, and are making good headway. I'm proud of you! Big hugs!

Heh, no flies on you ;). Well, I could suck worse, but I could have been sitting less on my ass and unpacking more boxes recently. Eh, it'll get done by the end of the year (that's our deadline for ourselves to have everything unpacked and put away, wherever the hell it's all going to end up!), it seems that fings and I are both of the "fire under our asses" school of work ethic, haha. I predict that when Halloween rolls around, there'll be a mad rash of unpacking!
