O you wretched cold,
the unbearable 15 minutes' wait.
I overheard a guy on a crutch chatting with an old lady, presumably strangers. He mentioned how his dad "nearly died" in Toronto, when temperatures plummeged to "average -40" in winter. I gulped mentally.

When I used to go home from college to visit my family in the winter, I'd get reset to their very clod climate and when I got back to my lovely warm college I'd be fine but everyone else was "freezing." Whatever that expression might mean in the subtropics.

no, i don't like it here much. not that there's anything particularly bad about canada, but i'm biased to my routine and lifestyle in singapore.
