Uhh, ohhh. Isn't like an hour in 2006 a day in the 60's? :O Hopefully this changes if the two are together. ;) I just remember that she was gone for... what? Two days? Then two years past in John-time. Yikes!

Either way, I'm very much enjoying this story. ;) I actually never really fancied "Time-traveling" fics until this one, so that's saying something!

Keep it up.

Don't worry about the time transition... Maggie figures out why it happens how it does in a future chapter. All will be well, I promise. :)

I'm so glad you like our fic! It's the first blatant Mary Sue we've ever attempted and of course the first time travel fic we've ever tried.

I liked this period in the story with John going back to the future with Maggie. I think it's very telling about John as a person that he is willing to give up so much to be with Maggie. Just like she'd given up her life to be with him. It's obvious that the two of them love one another a great deal. Now, it's onto the interesting stuff of what John's disappearence has caused to the past. Some poignant stuff ahead as well as interesting situations from what I can remember.

I think it's important. We really didn't want to write something that fell into the whole "the girl must always give up everything for a man because men are more important then she is". Love is important - but we felt it had to go both ways, that he was as willing to give things up for her. And for him, he's had 2 miserable years without her, and so he's willing to go to great lengths not to lose her. :-)
