I feel the need to expand upon my choice. I have a few friends who use it All The Time and absolutely love it, so they kept after me to try it until one day I did. I found it incredibly slow/laggy (and I'm on a high speed connection, so it wasn't like I'm on dial up or something), terribly confusing in general, and full of people who just want to have cybersex. I've HEARD it can be great fun if you find the right group of people and all, but I found it completely not worth the time I invested in it (which really wasn't that much).
