London & Wales, here I come!

Oh my, oh my. My summer trip to London and Wales just got a bit more real, as I booked the flights for myself and my friend. Wooo! We'll be flying from Tampere to London and from Liverpool back to Tampere again. And hopefully in the middle we'll have a wonderful two weeks in Wales. *excited bounciness ( Read more... )

My mom also recommended the parks, she spent some time in London too, when she was in her late teens (!). At least Hyde Park is on the list, definitely. With Midsummer picnicky stuff or without.

BTW, I've spent Midsummer in London too. It was in 98. I was with a friend Päivi, though. We were working there during that summer. On Midsummer's eve we both went to Hyde Park after shopping some goodies in Sainsburys. We sat there in the park, it was a sunny day (rare occasion during summer 98) and we ate delicious things and drank cheap sparkling wine. No bonfires, but otherwise it was fun. Something complitely different. : )

I recommend a trip to park for you too. London's parks are lovely and perfect places for having a private Midsummer's feast.

Yeah, I can just imagine dear Yavie having a "private" Midsummer feast gathering wild flowers and running around naked making midsummer magic in a London park. *lol*
