The health care bill passed in the US, which ticks me off for some reason. It's very socialist, which is not cool. And the whole "if you don't buy the insurance, we're gonna fine you." If I'm not buying it it's because I can't freaking afford it, not because I don't want it. Whatever happened to the land of the free? Why can't I choose whether or ( Read more... )

Health insurance is really good to have if you're sick. But if you're healthy and say, only have a part time job which doesn't provide health insurance and only gives you a limited amount of income (which is the case for me), paying for it does seem pointless. I do have health insurance, but it feels like money down the drain. $100 a month, just in case I get really sick or get in an accident? That's $1,200 a year that I could be saving (and like I said, right now I don't make a whole lot, so that's significant). Because my insurance is on the cheap end (I can't afford anything more), it doesn't cover doctor visits or medication or dental care or anything like that ( ... )

This whole health insurance thing is definitely frustrating. It needs to change, for sure, but the whole thing about people without insurance being fined sounds like a load of crap to me. And like Omi said, the fact that no one seems to be able to say what the bill will mean for people ... again, really frustrating x.x

Don't even get me started on the health care reform... ugh.

Sorry to hear work has been rough for you. I don't understand why kids can't just speak up!

Poor kid, he might've been too afraid to speak up about it. I hope it doesn't happen again.
