you can send an abuse request to lj, and they will reset the password and set the email address as whatever one you signed up for with it. of course, that won't help much until you have control over your lj. is your email something like a hotmail one? where you had to have another email address previously to sign up with it? if so, then you can just request a new password for that as well, right?
