I'll suggest another thing now that I thought of it: remixes?
It might be fun to remix each others drabbles or ficlets (maybe drabbles are too short to be remixed? But then again, it would be a challenge...) I don't know if graphics people do that, but it might work over there too?

Just a thought while writing a remix :)

That sounds alright, but I don't really know much about remixes, is there general rules or description to writing remixes of other people's drabbles/ficlets?

We had a great challenge over at drwholand, and I thought we could maybe do something similar here. It was a spam challenge. Every team started a post and had to spam like crazy. :-)) The team with the most comments won. It didn't matter what was written in the comments as long as it were at least 2 words. It was a very good way to get to know eachother a bit and bond with your teammembers.

That sounds like a lot of fun - I'll definitely put that on the line of upcoming challenges. ;D

How about a crossover between the writing community and the graphics community?
Like... Graphics people make a picture and fic writers challenge is to write a story inspired by it, or graphics people has to make a piece that illustrates for example, any of the drabbles or ficlets posted so far?

Could be interesting results all around...

I've actually had similiar ideas of combining a challenge for the writing&graphics communities so this is definitely on the list of upcoming challenges ;D

I really hate the recent challenges that require us to join/participate in another community. I am not interested in those communities, or else I would already be a member.

I'm sorry you feel that way, I may or may not do it again in the future depending on the popularity of the contest. All I require you to do is to use the same format of the community, only using crossover claims. If you don't complete the claim/table by the end of the time I give you then you can just quit that community and declaim whatever you had if you so wish. You don't have to keep being part of them.

I'm doing this, in part, to kick start some relatively dead communities and maybe create knowledge to some people who might not know about them that they exist and are out there.
