zucchini bread or muffins are really good and depending on the recipe you use are not that bad for you. Carrot cake muffins are tasty to and again not so bad for you. Fruit muffins can be healthy too. You just have to look for the healthier recipes that use less sugar and more whole grains in them. :)
We have a Melinda and Doug ABC book, but not that one.
re: veggies-- I find that pasta is great with peas. Peas, corn, green beans, carrots. I don't like broccoli. Every time I try to do a salad it ends up nasty and brown in my crisper drawer in my fridge.

We both adore broccoli and do it some. I need to just make some and toss them in everything o_O.
