My friends. Everything else about this place sucks.

My state has some pretty cool stuff- awesome camping sites, a few nice beaches, cool pirate stuff; my city sucks sweaty donkey balls.

Blue. Well, silver, but some people don't consider that a color. So, barring that, blue. :D

Hmmmmm....what got you into comic books and geeky stuff? Someone in your family, a friend, or did you discover it on your own?

I grew up as the only child of a single mom, who is incredibly geeky herself. I grew up watching and reading science fiction and fantasy with her; she took me to conventions when I was a wee bebeh. When I was in middle school, I started ransacking her comic collection. These days, she's borrowing comics from ME. It's not just something that I inherited from her, it's something that has brought us closer together. Some people have strained relationships with their parents, and I understand and respect that. My mother and I have always had a very open, tight relationship. Even when I was a kid, we would have intellectual discussions about the books we read or the latest episode of a tv show that we watch in the car on the way to school or at night while we ate dinner. Our interests have always overlapped, but it's the sharing of ideas and talking about our opinions that has made us such good friends as a result ( ... )

That's awesome. My dad and I share the love of the sci-fi. :) My mom enjoys it, but not like we do. *grin*

And I think it's great you have that close relationship with your mom. I'm sorry she can't travel with you. :( Maybe one of these days when J & I are doing our traveling, we could have lunch or something with the two of you.

Btw, about D*Con next year, we'll probably be needing to roomshare again. :)
