People have asked, on more occasions than I’d care to remember, if I’ve ever tried to win her back. As if in some primeval competition, she was the trophy to be won and displayed on the living room shelf ( Read more... )

this post reminded me of a lot of things i tried to avoid these past months.

hey, was just reading through your recent posts, and i never could quite put my finger on what you did exactly. not that we're supposed to do anything really.

production designer? art director?

so here's a question. notwithstanding the topics, i enjoy how you write. you break my heart. granted it's done easily enough but you do it well and consistently. do you write other things?

haha, have to admit this comment made me laugh.

i used to write press releases and tidbits for shopping magazines. though honestly, i enjoy writing fiction the most, despite the fact that a professor of mine criticized my work back in college, adamantly stating that i was more of a narrative essayist, than a fictionist.

whatever.

granted it's done easily enough.

and you admit this as if it were nothing to be concerned about. well, we all do i guess.

So maybe I'm understanding you (a cyber you, anyway) a little better. Your writings, I feel them more now.

Cool-offs, spaces and taking time apart... they're there to let you know that things have gone stale but neither of you has the heart to move on. Guess we all learn it the hard way.

Don't die. Falling in love is better. :)
(For us, too, since it would mean less heartbreaking entries.)
