Alec had been quite a bit cheered by the scene in the lobby earlier and decided he didn't have to hide in the basement at all, given current public opinion. He wasn't exactly sure what he was supposed to be getting a second chance at, really, but the thought was still pretty awesome

Before heading up to Dean's room, Dawn knocked on the door of Alec's room, her bag of clothes slung over her shoulder.

After Billy had gone, Alec answered the door, less bouncy than he had been earlier. "Hey," he greeted Dawn, smiling slightly. "How's it going?"

"Hey," she shrugged, smiling slightly back, "Oh, y'know, my boyfriend lost his mind and screwed with a friend of mine for some dumbass reason. You okay?"

He snorted softly. "Yeah, I think I heard about that," Alec said, smile warming a bit. "I'm pretty good. The petition thing down in the lobby was pretty good for cheering me up though."
