Weekly Ramblings

Oct 12, 2009 17:00

I have toyed with the idea of doing weekly entries about various cool things that either happened or I happened upon during the week, with the intention of starting last Friday. Sadly, this was foiled by the fact that my computer is only letting me have very basic functions when it comes to LJ entries - no photos, no formatting, and no journal cuts ( Read more... )

I'm really pumped for 11 and Amy. I can't wait for 2010! :)

And isn't the ipod touch amazing? I have mine with me everywhere I go. It makes life soooo much easier.

As a Doctor Who fan, I'm excited about the next series. As a Ten fan, I dread it. Fortunately, I'm pretty sure everything will work out fine.

And the iPod touch is possibly the coolest thing I've ever owned. I haven't even figured out everything it can do yet, so every time I turn it on, I learn something new.

I also enjoy my iPod Touch, though I desperately underutilise it and just fill it with music and videos (I blame the 2 hours of commuting I have to do a day)

And everyone needs more Simon Pegg (my biggest achievement in a fangirly kind of way was evading security at a Hot Fuzz prescreening and giving Simon Pegg a big hug :D) and David Tennant together. Imagination going haywire. :D

I can see how the Touch can be dangerous, though. I was looking through the Apps store and realized just how easy it would be to spend a lot of money there. I mean, all I have to do is click on something and it's mine! Ugh, temptation...

You hugged Simon Pegg? You are now my hero! :) I haven't figured out at what point Pegg became an actor I enjoyed watching, but I do, and the thought of him and Tennant in a film together is blowing my mind.

Hi! I was looking around LJ about Chicago TARDIS stuff and spotted you -- it seems like we'd make good LJ friends! So...friends?

Sure! I love meeting fans. I spent almost thirteen years without contact with any Doctor Who fans, and I'm making up for lost time.

I spent a long time thinking there weren't any, so. :)

(I was named after Sarah Jane and had no idea there were fans in the US until the new series.)

I was aware that there were fans, just none in my tiny hometown. Or so I thought, until I later found out that my Mom's side of the family knew about Doctor Who. My Mom apparently hated the show (which only made me love it more) and one of my aunts and my grandmother watched it. I wasn't expecting that. By the time I found out, I was so used to being a closet fan that I never really talked to them about it.

I was named after the Bionic Woman. Coming from a sci-fi loving family can be interesing.
