I'm in that beginning stage of writing where everything I write is crap and I hate it. I'm just pushing through it. Every time I get through the I-hate-this phase I get to the I-love-this-why-don't-I-do-NaNo-every-month phase.
I ended yesterday with 10,759 words. I wrote 1,756.
Focus is what I'm lacking. I'm hoping it's just because I'm tired when I get out of work and my brain wants a break and I'll be able to write more on Monday when I have a day off...
I'm at 10,538 word count, writing 1,877 words as of right now for today (I might add some later).
Honestly, I'm not facing too much trouble. Right before I start writing, though, I do get some "what am I writing about again?" thoughts, but that's about it. I'm doing really well :D My tip is just to write whatever. What you write today does not have to have anything to do with what you wrote yesterday. At all. Write about bananas. Write about anything and everything.
I ended yesterday with an overall total of 18500 (of which 7397 was written yesterday).
I'm writing my novel in chronological order, which I never do. Usually I write whatever scene comes to mind even if it's a scene that won't happen until much later in the novel or much earlier and I use headings (Date and Location) to separate the scenes and make it easier for me to put everything in order later. But that doesn't quite work with this novel (which is a historical romance so the headings I usually use won't work). So it's all in order and there are times where I'll realize that I didn't introduce someone or there's a bit of a plot hole that would have to be cleared up (which means reading back through all the pages just to find the spot where I can fit in another scene or add in a character so they don't appear out of nowhere.
8,656 words in total so far, 1,863 written today. Right now I feel as though I'm going through my plot too fast, I don't know how I'm going to get it to stretch to 50K. My main character has also changed tracks a little bit but I'm actually excited about it.
