Not much I can say outside the cut, since I know at least one or two readers haven't seen "The Big Bang" yet...I even discarded several clever subject lines, just to be safe.
By the way, for those now Jonesing For The Moff, he's just gone and rebooted Sherlock Holmes: Sherlock
And really, the way he's playing it, it's like he somehow felt frustrated that he was only allowed to make one Doctor Who series at a time, and so has Benedict Cumberbatch (best name in the world ever) wandering around playing Sherlock Holmes in a way that would be a completely reasonable characterisation for The Doctor. Recommended as a method of staving off the withdrawls until Christmas, presuming BBC America show it.
According to some quick research, PBS (American public television) will have it, rather than BBCA -- there was a deal with WGBH Boston, apparently, and it'll air under the "Masterpiece" label. That's fine with me; most Americans' only exposure to the Jeremy Brett version of Holmes was on PBS. I saw a trailer for it recently, not sure where, but I was definitely intrigued enough to give it a try.
I'm not sure I'm following that at all...The last four seasons didn't happen because Amy didn't remember them that way when she re-created the universe? Did that get mentioned in the episode at all, cuz if it did, I totally missed it. Seems like that would have big implications for the spin-off shows, which are still operating on the history as established in those four seasons. Or have we split off into an RTD-universe and a Moff-universe?
I loved it so much. And I'm disappointed that River and Amy were so anti-fez.
Also, in addition to Rory and the MSSoCA, how 'bout that River Song? I totally see her starting to come into the "most important person to the Doctor", and making the Dalek beg was just wow wow wow wow wow.
