Nice, G and I been getting new black mulch, and its cleaning upt he front yard.. i will be doing a veggi garden soon and finding more perennials to add to my flower beds. but ugh so much work, and I still ahve the damn back yard to finish:(

Did you know that most of that colored mulch is dyed with heavy metals? It is unregulated by the government so they use all kinds of toxic things.

I am using a Scott's brand of mulch, the naturescapes, and from all accounts it seems to be fine.

I looked up the MSDS sheet for it and it is non toxic. Yay! I used to use colored mulch too but now I guess I am too paranoid. Glad yours is safe!

Lots of LJ members(you, Durabear & others I can't remember) are doing their gardening this weekend. I must have missed the memo. LOL!!!!

LOL. i like wearing a collar. Seems i've got quite a collection nowadays.
